Cyprus develops mobile health app and comprehensive EHR as NeHA coordinates 10 EU-funded projects
Cyprus's National eHealth Authority is building a mobile health application for citizen access to personal health records, alongside a National Citizen's Health File and a comprehensive EHR covering all citizens. NeHA is integrating imaging results, laboratory findings, and hospital discharge summaries into the national system.
Cyprus launched MyHealth@EU e-Health services in May 2025, enabling cross-border patient summary and ePrescription exchange, and is now participating in the Xt-EHR project for primary use and the EHDS Secondary Use @CY project. For a country of under one million people, coordinating 10 EU-funded digital health projects gives NeHA institutional capacity that exceeds its demographic weight — Cyprus is building across primary use, secondary use, and cross-border dimensions simultaneously.
